Ponte Vedra is where the big houses are. The homes in Sawgrass and Marsh Landing came with three-car garages, screen-enclosed lanais, boat storage, and enough square footage that ten years of "we'll deal with it later" has real room to pile up. That's not a complaint — it's just the job, and it's what makes junk removal in Ponte Vedra, FL different from clearing a small pile out of a beach cottage a few miles up the coast.

The housing is the whole story
Ponte Vedra and Ponte Vedra Beach run to larger lots and larger homes, a lot of them behind a gate. Gated communities like Sawgrass and Marsh Landing mean the first question is always access — where the truck stages, whether the guard needs us on a list, and how far the load has to travel from the house to the drive. Big homes came with big garages, deep attics, and lanais that turned into three-season storage. And a lot of these properties back up to the marsh or the Intracoastal, so there are docks, boat lifts, outdoor kitchens, and sheds in the mix too.
None of it's a problem. It's just planning, and planning is the difference between a clean job and a scratched floor.
Getting big furniture out of a big house
People underestimate this one. A sectional that came in through a wide front door doesn't always come out the same way once there's a piano, a console, and a runner of tile in the path.
Two people, minimum, always. We read the turn first and figure out whether the piece pivots or has to come apart. Often it comes apart — legs off, back off, out in pieces. Not laziness. Just the alternative to gouging your trim or your wood floors.
We pad the corners and doorways before anything moves, and we lay down protection over tile and hardwood. That's furniture and mattress removal — couch, mattress, the dining set nobody uses.
Garages, attics, and old appliances
Ponte Vedra garages are their own category. Three bays, built-in cabinetry, a second fridge, a stand-up freezer that's been humming in the corner since the house was built, and shelving loaded to the ceiling.
The question is never "can we lift it." It's "can we get it around the turn and out the bay door." Old appliances are worth pulling even if they still technically run — the metal gets recycled and you get your garage back. That's appliance removal, and it usually turns into a full garage cleanout once the freezer's gone and everything around it suddenly looks like it should go too. Attics run the same way: low, brutally hot in a Florida summer, and full. Often it's both, same day.
Estate cleanouts in the established homes
This is a big part of what we do in Ponte Vedra, and the part we take most care with.
When a house has been in one family for decades, an estate cleanout isn't a pile of junk. It's a lifetime. Photographs in shoeboxes. Tools in the garage. China nobody's used since the eighties. Somebody has to go through it all, and that somebody is usually grieving.
So we go at your pace. Need to open every box? Open every box. Need to stop for twenty minutes? We'll wait. We set aside what's donatable and get it to people who'll use it. Renovation and remodel debris
Big homes get remodeled, and remodels produce a lot of debris. Cabinets from the old kitchen. Tile tear-out. A garden tub four people couldn't get around the landing. Flooring, trim, and the packaging from everything that replaced it.
We do construction debris removal as a one-time haul at the end or as ongoing pickups mid-project — contractors tend to prefer that, since it keeps the site walkable. Scrap metal and copper go to recycling. The rest goes to licensed disposal.
Out by the marsh — hot tubs, sheds, and yard debris
Head out toward the Intracoastal and the marsh and the job changes shape. Screen-enclosed lanais, outdoor kitchens, docks, sheds, hot tubs.
A hot tub is a demolition job before it's a hauling job. They get cut down on site and carried out in sections — the only way it happens when the tub's sunk into a paver patio inside a screen enclosure. That's hot tub removal, and we bring the tools for it. Storm debris off the marsh — palm fronds, downed limbs, old fence sections — is yard waste removal, same truck, same trip.
Access and gates — we plan for it
Before we roll, we want to know a few things. Which community, and does the guard gate need us on a list? Where does the truck stage? How far from the house to the drive? Any HOA rules about what can sit curbside? Photos help — text us a couple and we can size up the approach ahead of time.
One note: if your community has specific rules about contractor vehicles or curbside placement, check with your HOA directly. Rules change and we won't pretend to speak for them. What we will do is show up with a plan for where the truck sits and how the load comes out.
What we take, and what we won't
Furniture, mattresses, appliances, electronics, scrap metal, construction debris, yard waste, hot tubs, sheds, whole-house contents. If it's not attached to the building, it can probably go.
What we won't take: asbestos, wet paint (dry it out first and then it's fine), gasoline or other flammables, medical waste, live ammunition. Those need specialists, and we'll point you in the right direction.
